Neurological infusion therapy

Infusion therapy, in a familiar setting

In-office infusion access for multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis and other immune-mediated neurological conditions — managed by the neurologist who knows your case.

Treatment where your care already is

Many of the most effective therapies in neurology are given intravenously. Historically that has meant a hospital infusion suite: a separate facility, a separate scheduling system, and a nursing team who have never met the physician directing the treatment.

We provide access to in-office infusion therapy so that treatment happens in the same setting as the rest of your care. Your neurologist remains directly involved, dose adjustments and monitoring happen without a round of faxes, and the environment is considerably calmer than a hospital floor.

Conditions commonly treated

Multiple sclerosis — approved disease-modifying infusion therapies
Myasthenia gravis
Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP)
Other immune-mediated neuropathies
Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder
Acute relapse treatment with high-dose corticosteroids

What a session involves

Before your first infusion we confirm insurance authorisation, complete any required baseline laboratory testing, and review the therapy's benefits and risks with you in detail. You will know how long the session runs and what to expect before you arrive.

During the session you are monitored throughout. Session length varies considerably by medication — some take under an hour, others most of a morning — and we will tell you which applies to yours when we schedule. Bring something to read, and eat and hydrate normally beforehand unless we advise otherwise.

Afterwards, laboratory monitoring and MRI surveillance continue on the schedule your therapy requires, reviewed at your regular neurology visits rather than through a separate service.

Tell us before your session

Contact the office before an infusion if you have any active infection, fever, or a new illness, and if you have received a vaccination recently or are planning to. Some therapies need to be rescheduled around these.
