When neurodiagnostic testing is outsourced, three things happen: you wait for a second appointment at a second facility, the study is performed without the clinical question in front of the technologist, and the result comes back as a report rather than a conversation.
Performing these studies in the office removes all three problems. The person interpreting your nerve conduction study already knows which nerve is in question and why, and can extend the study on the spot if the initial findings point somewhere unexpected. In many cases the findings are discussed with you before you leave.
For studies we do not perform here — MRI, CT and specialised imaging — we handle the ordering, the scheduling and the insurance authorisation, then review the images with you in person.
